Direct Connect enables MBEs to “see” and “be seen” by exhibitors of their choice within the EXPO Marketplace on September 11th at the George. R. Brown Convention Center, Exhibit Hall B3.
Direct Connect allows MBEs to notify exhibitors, in advance of their plans to visit a specific exhibitor booth at EXPO in an effort to cultivate, establish and develop meaningful business connections.
The Process:
- Step 1: MBE must be registered for EXPO!
- Step 2: MBE selects a maximum of 10 (ten) exhibitors who they have an interest in developing a relationship. Click here to view the Exhibitors List.
- Step 3: Provide HMSDC with a professional one-page company capability statement. Submit capability statement to Marshette Turner via e-mail at Marshette.Turner@hmsdc.org
- Step 4: HMSDC will forward the information to the selected exhibitor representatives who will be attending EXPO.
Direct Connect alerts the exhibitor in advance of the MBEs who will be visiting their booth and the type of products and services they offer. MBEs find this strategy effective because their visit becomes more than just a random “walk by” at EXPO. The process provides new contacts, strengthens existing relationships, and ultimately increases business opportunities.
